e.g. scooters, vacation, fall
well if you have ever read my post before, then you know how i felt about blogging. i never really liked to do it. but i would try and do my best. i know that if i could have know what to blog about and had a enough information it would have been fun with out adout. i know that in a few years i would do blogging to stay in touch with friends and to put some ideas out there. But for a first experince, it was ok. but i think i should really start blogging more. i think that alot of people will be doing it in years to come. but one of the hardest things was to type. i cant type to save my life. not thats all that bad, but it just made me not really want to do it. but some times when i thought i had some things to blog about i was not by a computer. witch made it hard. lol. but blogging has tought me that the writing you use can be out of the box. That makes a lot of sence. This class is about things that are perspective in liteture, and the blogging has made that clear. I like that things that blogging can be about, it’s the idea that you can write about anything and it’s a whould world that can read it. P.s. mr ayers class is a good time. I like that we are able to do this

Shut up and let me go
I think that there are many things to think about when you think of enlightenment. Some of those things may be what you think of morals, people, ethics, and every day rights. Every one today in America has the right to be free because of the people that perused for enlightenment. When I think of enlightenment, I think of the people that wanted to be free. Like Thomas Jefferson, he wanted a better place for every body so he helped make the country grow as a nation and make it a better place to live and work. But its not only him that helped, it’s also the people like Locke, who helped. They spread there ideas so that the common person could have more rights and so every one could do the things that they wanted to do. So it could be free nation. So when they were writing the constitution, I think of all the people before who tried for enlightenment, they could only read or write about it but could not live in a world of it. We are vary privileged that our founding fathers know that this was best for our country and that this is what the people needed.
so from now on i have to try and type and stay focased, but its really hard. i hate blogging. its no fun to me. its almost as bad as twitter. i made a twitter accont but it ws so lame. all i got was twits about stupid people that i was following that had nothing to do with my life. FML. be then thers the thing that when i try to blog about some thing i get the feeling that i dont know what im taking about so i stop. but oh well. im just trying to get 250 words. thats all, right man. you used to be cool man, what happened to you man. not cool. so now im just tring to use this as a space filler. so yeah. i watched the movie "dont mess with the Zolu" it was one of those Adam Sandler movies thats just dumb. but i did laugh at some pretty funny stuff. idk if this is 250 but im posting this

Al Quada
Today April 14, 2009 the Central Intelligence Agency has been monitoring the whereabouts of the group Al Qaeda. The terrorist group has been tracked to the many threats. Al Qaeda translated too “The Base”, has been making terrorist threats since the early 80’s. The leader of the group, Osama bin Laden is still on the run and is on the FBI’s 10 most wanted list. But there is not only one base. Al Qaeda has terrorist networks all over the world and has been starting to use the web as a tool for terrorist attacks also.
Osama bin Laden is the most wanted man by the US right now. He is also the main leader of the group Al Qaeda. He since he started the group, there is an estimate from thousands to hundreds of thousands in the terrorist group. Bin Laden is said to be in the Afghan mountain range, but that’s not stopping the hounderds of cell groups that operate from more then 100 known countries. The goal of the group is to stop the spread of western influence and to replace Muslim countries with fundamentalist Islamic regimes.
The group has been linked to many attacks. The attacks are manly against the US and the allies of the US. The attacks have been from car bombing to holding hostages. But then there has been the most serious attack on the World Trade Center that killed over 2000 people, and since they have been making terrorist attacks, more then 3000 Americans have been killed.

09 honda
Well this is one thing that the US needs. I think we can all agree that the gas prices are too high and that the cars on the road to day are too big, and use way to much gas. This car seems s to be a perfect car to add to the US streets. With its 27 miles per gallon, it’s worth the 17000 dollars.
Well from what Tim Banse had said about the car, he seems to like it. He talks about how much room and the head space there is in this five passenger car. The article talks about how the car is lower to the ground then last years model and is 4 inches longer. Not only is that nice, but since the car is more comfterbol on the inside just not with the room it allows you, but the seats are in better shape to.
One imported feature for some people is space. And the new model gives up this with a flip of the back seats. You can flip then up in there’s space for you to place what ever up need.
There are many things that you can add to the car, like cruise control, and pick from a manual or automatic transition. Over this entire car seems to be a great new start to helping the environment.

FML
FML. You know why? its because the best website ever has just been blocked!!! I cant even belive it. it is tragic. it really is. I sat and reada least 20 pages of these little short stories. they are just way to unreal. the stuff that happens to people, in real life. these things sound like they are made up, but you can't. Thats why i think its just way to funny.
There was this one story that this guy was in his apartment and heard the people in the one next to his haveing sex. So he decides to call his girlfiend up to see if she want to go get some lunch. next thing you know is he hears her phone ring in the apartment next to his. FML
They are simply funny things that happen to people that are out of the blue. How these things happen are just as so cool and for the school to block the website is stupid.

tell me whats wrong
So tell me whats on your mind? Well i know it not 10 years in the slammer with a $250,00 fine. Right? but really, as i was reading the news paper today, there was a rather large piece on the the subject of a former Iowa City psychologist named Howard I. Weinberg. The 60 year old pleded guilty to the charges.
i dont know if im the only one but that seem to be alittle weird. i just kidding, but really, he needs help. Though he might be a psychologist, how could he not know that there is something wrong. Im i an AP Psych class and i dont think that we have covered this but for something like this to happen it kinda disterbing, but not only that, he is in a vary respected man to. it must be a blow to the community.

Walk the Line
How can life fit into 136 minutes, considering the life that he lived? The man was a legend. He was an inspiration to people all over; the music that he wrote and performed helped left the guilty and innocent conscious alike. The man is Johnny Cash.
The Biopic of JR’s (Johnny Cash) life is an incredible start. He is a young boy growing up in the Arkansas cotton fields. That’s what his family did. JR his older brother Jack. This is a major plot point because the two were so close. You were able to see this in the actions that the actors did. Jack and JR were brothers but also good friend; this is evident in every scene that they are in.
But this is things start to change. On a day when there is still work to be done, Jack decides to stay and finish the logs that need to be cut. JR decides to go fishing, with no one there to help Jack he gets into trouble. Jack fells on the saw and cuts himself from his waits up to his chest. This is a vary bad accident because it is a fatal cut.
When JR is on his way home, his father drives by and tells him to get in the car. They then arrive at the hospital. As his father drags JR in to the room he sees the bloody clothes in a sink. That when the is Brought into the room where his brother Jack is lying on a bed with a wraps around his chest and blood showing through. JR starts to cry seeing his brother on the bed. Then his dad starts to demand were have you been. “Where have you been, Where have you been. This is your fault.” JR cant say anything, but his dad is still mad and tells him that God took the wrong son.
Years later JR joins the Air Force. On the day that leaves there is calm. He does not say much to his father when he leaves. There is not much to say to him.
But there he is, Mr. Johnny Cash in Germany. He is stationed in a office, but hes not doing work, he talking to his girl friend. So far up to this point, all the shots have been up close to capture the faces and expirations that the actors portray. It is vary interesting that the people have been doing. They are a vary good cast that know what there doing.
But the next plot is intriguing. They have vary many new people that come into the sence that help build Johnny as he is. This is also the plot point that is starting to make Johnny to become a musician. It goes into his family life and his music life as well. He went to a studio and tried the get a record. JR eventually won over Phillips with new songs delivered by his band.
But there was also another part to JR. As his career was taking off in the early 1960s, JR started drinking heavily and became addicted to amphetamines. For a brief time, he shared an apartment in Nashville with Waylon Jennings, who was heavily addicted to amphetamines. JR used the uppers to stay awake during tours. Friends joked about his "nervousness" and erratic behavior, many ignoring the warning signs of his worsening drug addiction.
When he was touring, he went to many prisons, Johnny felt great compassion for prisoners. He began performing concerts at various prisons starting in the late 1960s. These performances led to a pair of highly successful live albums, Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison (1968).

Tolerace
Here at Kennedy, we are vary fortunate to have many different people here. And that’s a good thing. We all have mostly been in school since elementary school. So that means a lot of people have grown up together. They have gotten to know one another and friendships have been made.
Then you get to middle school. When you get to middle school, people start to make good friends and they have groups. You also get to meet new people from other schools.
That’s when you could say you have a tolerance of the people you don’t know. Because you might know someone from another and judge them. But that’s not the case. When you enter the halls of a school or a work place, you know that there is going to be people that are different then you. It’s safe to say that not every on r will get along but you’re not going to b mean to them.
Here at Kennedy, you can walk down the halls and know that you wont be pointed out for something you believe, or ideas, or interest. Everyone has there own views and should be able to do that.
The diversity is the thing that makes a person who they are and a community what it is today. And once you can accept that and let them know that you can be friends for who they are, than that’s what matters in the halls and the Kennedy high school community. People here will know who you are but if you’re a good person then that won’t matter because there are so many people.
You also know that when your walking down the halls, and you look at the wall. You will see posters for clubs of all sorts. So you know that people here accept you and know that you are who you are.

Guns today
What do you think if you heard that a woman shot a man in the chest that tried to attack her? Do you think that woman did the right thing to pull out her gun and shot him, or did you think that the woman should not be caring a gun because that makes her a threat to the public?
i think that woman had every right to be doing what she did, by caring a gun and defending herself. Because what worse, a wounded attacker, or a dead woman. According to the website www.wagc.com, guns should be carried by woman because guns were used 2.5 million time too defend people last year. That means that too many people are being attacked and not enough attackers are getting the point to stop. thats why it would come in handy if it camre right down to it.

Whats Up Doc?
so today the healthcare is getting out of hand. but that is going both ways. for the people and the doctors as well. So one of the those thing that make a differance would be medical malpractice insuance. I think that it should be required for all who work in the meical field. Medical malpractice insurance is a form of insurance that physicaians mus purchase to protect themselve from the cost of malpractice lawsuits. As stated, i am for medical malpractice insuranc but feel there should be a cap on the amonts of money given out in lawsuits. The reasons i belive there should be a cap on the amount of money paid in a law suit are related to the everincreasing cost of medical care. We all are affected by the cost of medical care. This cost is not only based on the expences of equipment, education or office materials that a doctor need but the amount of money they spend on insurance.

Ap Pysch
I agree with the hypothesis the article “A Nation of Wimps” proposes. The article points out that many of today’s parents are totally involved in every activity their kid participates in. The parents of these kids are so involved with the kid’s life; that the parent make all the decisions and don’t let the kids make any decisions independently. The parent’s total oversight is to protect the kid from failing at anything. The parents are not letting there kids take any risk. Everything a kid does is being carefully watched, supervised, and then checked to make sure that it is safe. If the parent thinks anything could be a potential problem for their kid then it is immediately highlighted and squished. “We all know that it is a parents job to try to make there children’s life’s better”, according to Hara Estroff Marano. Parents are making it hard for their children to learn anything on there own”. It also does not teach a kid how to cope with anything they do that ends up being less then perfect.
The article calls these parents “Hothouse Parents” because their raising these kids in a controlled environment likes a plant hothouse. The article made me think of these parents like a hen sitting on a nest of eggs. When the eggs hatch then the hen never will let the chicks leave the nest.
Chapter 14 of our Psychology book is about personality. The chapter is broken into four perspectives on the study of understanding and explaining personality. Each of the four perspectives has a different approach and the article uses a little of each perspective to explain the effect the Hothouse Parents have on kids they are raising.
Parents are always so concerned about children having self-esteem. (Moarano, 68) Over parenting can program the nervous system to create lifelong vulnerability to anxiety and depression. (Moarano, 68) The parent that does everything for a child makes the child think they can’t do anything on their own and something must be wrong with them. The humanistic perspective says low self-esteem comes in different forms. Those vulnerable to depression often feel they are falling short of their hope. (Myers, 514) Those vulnerable to anxiety often feel they are falling short of what they ought to be. (Myers, 514) The benefits of high self esteem pays dividends. Accept yourself and you will find it easier to accept others. (Myers, 515)
Parents that that overprotect their kids make the child psychologically fragile and have no shot at real happiness. (Moarano, 61) The child will not have learned any coping skills and needed to deal with life. The child is more or less helpless. The social-cognitive perspective speaks about learned helplessness versus personal control. (Myers, 523) People who feel helpless and oppressed often perceive control is external. (Myers, 523) When the perception of helplessness gets strong then the person accepts helplessness as a way of life and believes nothing can be done to change their situation. A person that feels they have control of their situation is more optimistic. Optimism is a coping skill that will help overcome the helplessness. The protected kids never had control of their life.
The hothouse parents see their kids as perfect and anything less then perfect can be changed to be perfect. The parents will do whatever it takes to get the perfect result for their kid. Parents could use anything from doctors to money to get things changed. Parents getting things changed show the kids how to work the system for their own benefit. (Moarano, 64) One kid that had his parents change things for him said I wish my parents had some hobby other then me. (Moarano, 64) The trait perspective says behavior depends on the interaction of person with the situation. . (Moarano, 64) So if a kid has learned from his parents that the system can work to change a situation for their own benefit then they will always use the system.
Kids that were not allowed to take risks never grow up or take a lot longer to grow up. (Moarano, 68) The reason it will take longer is because the kids will stay in endless adolescence and not reach full adulthood until they learn how to play. Kids that had everything planned for them will rebel and start doing something the article called exploring. The humanistic perspective calls this self-actualization. (Myers, 512) Self-actualization is when a person has learned from play about relationships, negotiate conflict, love, and have self-esteem. (Myers, 512) (Moarano, 70)
Hot house parents should not focus so much on their own children. They should care about all children (Moarano, 103) There are kids that really need help and are not getting it. The kids that have everything handed to them make it much harder for the kids that have real problem like poverty or disabilities. The kids with problems have to try so much harder then the wimps. That’s why I’m saying that parents need to start looking at the way they are treating there kids. If they are 4 years old, then yeah you need to watch out for them and help them out. But you can’t continue to treat them like that when they get older. That’s where the problems start to develop.

So what to write about. theres nothing to write. except that we have a new president! Barak Obama. i hope that he does a swell job, i know he will. but on the other hand bloging is lame. the only reason im doing this is because we have to, i hate it. i cant type. it takes like 45 minutes to type like 100 words for me. And i'v done all those learn to type programs, but they dont work or stay with me. i just cant type. i would much rather just hand write it out you know what im saying. probly not because im the worse typer in the world. and im just trying to think of some other thing to complain about typing, but i cant because this is stupid. but i do like the class. the class is fun. and so is every thing else, but the blogging. like the other day we watched the first 15 minutes of Indianna Jones and yesterday we watched the beginning of Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance kid. those are both good movies, but i wish we could have seen more. But speaking of movies, i plan to go to one this weekend. i plan on going to see Benjerman Botten. i think it looks really good. but iv heard that its a long movie. But the plot sounds so interesting. a man that is born old and as he ages, he gets younger. it sounds like some crazy a&# s%@!. I dont how that would happen. A movie that i would aslso like to see soon is the movie Gran Torino. it looks like a bad ass movie. Clint Eastwood is a great actor and he is a movie genuess.

some movies
so thers been so good movie out ther. The holiday week was s huge week for movies. but im not saying they were all good. there was one movie i went to that just sucked. It made me feel like crap knowing that i payed money to go se it, and that movie was The Day the Earth Stood Still. it was not a good. i thought it was going to be a good movie. i would not go see this movie again, it blows.
But i also went to see Yes Man. it was a interesting movie. i liked it vary much, the role for jim cary was new for him i think. it made him into a more serouse actor then what he had been playing before. in the movie he has to play two kinds of roles. One of the two is the Jim Carry thatr everyonr know, then ther is a souros side that he has to play.
